Overview of available import and export functions
What you can actually export today — and what you cannot (yet).

To avoid wrong expectations: outside the already documented Reports section and invoices, there are currently practically no export or structured import functions in Zentor App.
Step by step
- Export reports (available)The "Reports" section offers CSV export via the interface (see "View and export reports"); Excel and PDF exist on the server side but are not currently linked to a UI button.
- Invoices as PDF (available, where reachable)A PDF download for invoices exists on the server side (see "View limits and billing").
- Export the knowledge base (not available)A full export of your knowledge base as a file is not currently possible.
- Bulk import of knowledge entries (not available)Beyond the already known file upload and website crawl, there is no structured bulk import (e.g. one CSV row per knowledge entry with title/tags/category).
- Export of customer data/conversations/teams (not available)Neither a data portability export (GDPR Art. 20) for customer data nor an export of entire conversation histories or your user/team list currently exists.
Expected result
You know exactly which export/import paths are real, and avoid searching in vain for functions that do not exist.
Common error cases
I want to back up my entire knowledge base or migrate it to another system.
Cause: A full export does not currently exist.
Resolution: Contact Zentor if you need a full data backup or migration.
I need to provide a customer with their stored data in a portable format upon request (GDPR Art. 20).
Cause: An automated data portability export function does not currently exist.
Resolution: Contact Zentor to have the required data compiled manually.
I want to upload many knowledge entries at once via CSV instead of creating each one manually.
Cause: A structured bulk import for knowledge entries does not exist — uploaded CSV files are only processed as the text content of a single entry, not split row by row.
Resolution: Create entries individually, or use the website crawl if the content is available online.
